By building his own electronics, Roger succeeded in improving the sound of a traditional P\/J bass with that special Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill. Strong, powerful bass that is never muddy. Present, but not too aggressive, mids and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string fretless P\/J bass features a sleek, undersized J-Style body made of chambered American Swamp Ash finished in a Nirvana Black Transparent Satin finish. The neck is made of American Maple and features a Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard. Special features of this bass include a Sadowsky P-Style neck pickup and a J-Style bridge pickup, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost. The hardware includes light Sadowsky open gear tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. The Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage P\/J bass is made exclusively in Germany and will never weigh more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg).
