The Fret-King FKV25JCAR, the second Fret-King model to carry Jorgenson's name, sports a solid American Alder body and a Canadian maple neck which is married to an Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The result is a singing tone with blooming sustain. John's choice of colourway is a lustrous Candy Apple Red which covers the guitar through body, neck and headstock; an eye catching finish that is truly dazzling under the stage lights.
Hardware comes courtesy of Wilkinson; a WTB bridge equipped with three self-intonating saddles ensures that the guitar plays in tune all over the neck but retains a classic appearance. A matched pair of specially calibrated Wilkinson WVT pickups are coupled with two auxiliary 'ghost' coils; the ghost coils reside under the scratchplate, providing hum-cancelling and classic single coil quack and honk thanks to the Varicoil„¢ control.
